ECA (EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES)


Extra Curricular Activities facilitate the overall development of various domains of mind and body of every child. Hence We BMCians encourage following ECA, regularly on every working day from 3.30 to 4.30 p.m, by well trained masters and coaches in our school .

1.KARATE

It is an art of self – defense developed in Japan in which an attacker is defeated by kicks and punches.Karate training offers many benefits for young children’s improved physical fitness, superior mind body co-ordination, and self –discipline are just some of the characteristics of a martial art practitioner , that immediately come to mind.


 

2.KEYBOARD

Technical skills. One of the most important reasons for teaching keyboard to students is to provide technical skills
* Helps to free up cognitive energy
* Improves computer – based test scores in student
* Eases frustration
* Increases confidence
* Supports digital equality


 

3.CHESS

* It teaches creativity. Chess makes kids smarter.
* Chess promotes abstract Thinking
* Chess develops patience and thoughtfulness
* Chess sharpens focus and concentration
* Chess improves reading and maths scores


 

4.SILAMBAM

Silambam is a good form of candies workout, that improves blood circulation and heart function. It also burns calories, helps in weight reduction and shaping of body. Relieves mental stress, laziness and fatigue improves body flexibility and reflexive movement of joints and muscles.


 

5.ABACUS

Abacus improves concentration. It also improves observation and Listening as one of the benefits of Abacus It boosts creativity. Increases self confidence. It also gives a strong Academic foundation.


 

 

6.WESTERN DANCE

* Dance helps improve Behavioral issues
* It helps cultivate communication skills.
* Dance Encourages an active life style.
* Dance encourages creativity.


 

7.Art & Craft

Art & Craft can improve Confidence and Self-esteem in a multitude of ways.
* Self-Expression and Managing Feelings. As with all creative pursuits, arts and crafts activities are a fantastic creative outlet.

8.Carnatic Music

Development of motor skills and hand eye co-ordination in children
* Carnatic music reduces stress busters.
* It improves listening skills.
* Carnatic music brings the sense of calmness and relaxation for learner.


9.Skating

The activity or sport of moving on special boots
* Skating works nearly every muscle group in the body and gliding requires synchronized movement of the legs, which is important for joint flexibility.
* It also builds up the leg and abdominal muscles
* Skating is great for Cardiovascular Health.


 

10.TAEKWONDO

11.BHARATHANATIYAM

13.MUSIC BAND

A Music band is a group of student musicians who rehearse and perform Instrumental music together. A school band consists of wood wind instruments, brass instruments, drums, trumpets etc
*It reduces stress levels
*Encourages self expressions.
*Helps cognitive development.
*Supports efficient brain processing.
